Why Email from TimeNet Law?

Stop the export-attach-compose dance. TimeNet Law emails invoices to your clients the moment you create them:

  • One checkbox: Check Email to Client when you create the invoice. That's the whole workflow.
  • PDF attached automatically: The finished invoice arrives as a professional PDF in your chosen theme.
  • Payment link included: With Slipstream enabled, every emailed invoice carries a secure online payment link, so clients can pay by card or eCheck the moment they open it.
  • Delivery tracking: The Email Log Report shows when each invoice was sent, delivered, and opened.

Delivery runs through TimeNet Law's built-in email service. There is nothing to configure beyond your firm name and reply-to address. See Email Setup for how it works.

Sending Your First Invoice

Step 1: Make Sure the Client Has an Email Address

TimeNet Law sends the invoice to the email address on the client's record. Open Client Info and confirm one is entered.

Step 2: Create the Invoice

Bill the matter the way you always do. In the Create Invoice window, check Email to Client.

Step 3: Finalize

When the invoice is finalized, TimeNet Law emails it automatically: your email template, the invoice PDF attached, and the payment link if Slipstream is enabled. A copy goes to your firm's address so you have your own record.

Step 4: Confirm It Arrived

Choose Report → Email Log Report to see the message, its delivery status, and whether it has been opened.

Pro Tip

Set your email template once in Settings → Invoice Architect → Email Settings: your From Name, reply-to address, subject line, and message body. Every invoice email uses it automatically.

Batch Email Invoices

Running end-of-month billing? Bulk Generate can email every invoice as it's created:

  1. Open Bulk Generate and choose the clients and matters to bill
  2. Check Email to Clients
  3. Generate

Each client receives their own invoice with your template message, their PDF, and their payment link. End-of-month billing becomes one pass: generate all, and the sending takes care of itself.
